Logo Design 101.

Choosing to have a professional designer take on the task of creating the iconic representation for company is one of the single most important steps you'll ever take for your vision. Invest in your vision with dedicated designers who will invest the same energy and passion you have for your vision. Look, it really comes down to 3 key elements in regards to your logo and it's design. A skilled designer will use these to help them conceive and ultimately create your logo. All, or nearly all, powerful logos share the following design elements: 1. Varied Usage Question: How many logos do you recognize that only appear in a single colour and presentation? Zuckerberg's dystopian vision of the Silicon Valley echo chamber ... - South China Morning Post

Facebook is confronting the reality that it's a media company. Mark Zuckerberg recently released a 5,700 word globalist political manifesto that is utter nonsense - a series of political platitudes trying to be soaring rhetoric. Zuckerberg has not lived in the real world for a long time. "History is the story of how we've learned to come together in even greater numbers - from tribes to cities to nations," he wrote. This is the world according to Facebook. The history of the world is the story of endless class struggle where wars are the only events that permanently change anything. But, it encapsulates Zuckerberg's limited thinking - that Facebook is a business that can change the direction of human civilization. And that is his shortcoming. Facebook has grown beyond a dorm room project ranking the attractiveness of Harvard girls to becoming the custodian of truth and goodwill among people. He now wants Facebook to be the means to realise the dream ...

The difference between freelancing and entrepreneurship - and why the latter is better - Business Insider

This article is a reposted from this original source written by Daniel DiPiazza for Business Insider Working for yourself alone doesn't make you an entrepreneur. Flickr/ThoroughlyReviewed A few years ago, I was watching an interview with Seth Godin , one of my heroes of the business world. He was explaining the core differences between entrepreneurship and freelancing. I was getting heated just listening to him. Here's how Seth explains it: Freelancers get paid for their work. If you're a freelance copywriter, you get paid when you work. Entrepreneurs use other people's money to build a business bigger than themselves so that they can get paid when they sleep. When I saw this interview, I was busting my ass (and making very good money) as a freelancer — BUT I always considered myself an entrepreneur because I had an "entrepreneurial mindset." "He doesn't know what he's talking about! I am TOO an entrepreneur!" I grumbled. I ...
